Goals:

  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement

  • Improve the registration experience for the beginner/advanced

  • Design a prototype of improvements

Timeline

JULY

Projects proposed, assign team member roles, and meet with stakeholders.

Research the project and put together a literature review. Determine the user profile, user objectives, and outline a task analysis.

Perform 3 staff interviews regarding website usability and concerns. Perform 6 usability testing run-throughs of the current website to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the current registration process.


Brainstorm 20+ ideas of features to re-design. Include brief sketches and wireframes of changes.

AUGUST

Create wireframes of entire website re-design on Figma. Aim to create a fully interactive prototype. Implement user testing on final design iterations

Present finished high-fidelity Figma prototype of the re-imagined website to the CEO of Flow Fitness and 40+ students.

Interviews / Usability Testing

Interviews: Ask 3 current employees how things work right now and their interactions with customers. Better understand how things work right now and what to look into during our research and literature review.

Usability Testing: 30 minute session with 4 people. Regarding the current website flow: asked pre-questions and post-questions. Tasks may include: sign up for a specific membership, schedule a tour of the facilities, or enter a promo-code during sign-up.

Low-Fidelity Sketches

Created 20+ low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the structure and layout of key website pages. These wireframes became the foundation for user testing and iterative design, with the goal of increasing functionality and user satisfaction. They represent the initial blueprint for the final prototype, allowing for re-designed iterations to come after.
